How Much Money To Own A Race Horse In Singapore?

Horse racing in Singapore can be fun.. but how much to own a race horse in Singapore? How to succeed as a race horse owner?

I have almost 30 years experience in horse racing ownership. I gone through almost any thing a race horse owners have. The good, the bad and the ugly.

THE GOOD… The good thing here is this is some thing you never learn at school. We Singaporean knows people will be kind to help. Some just help themselves. Does not matter who they are. In this industry we meet with very good people who will help you all the way. They do it because of passion.. that makes a lot of difference. Some loves horses and stay in this industry all their life. They are happy when things worked for their friends here.

My own opinion, meeting good people does not produce the success in this horse racing ownership industry. But it may if you know how to leverage their experience and connections.

I have been in Australia and New Zealand to be in the racing stables with my friends in those countries. Nice fresh breeze always in the morning and I considered myself as lucky as I am able to be with the trainers and witness horses training in the morning. And listening to feed back from track riders and syce (care takers)

Asking right questions are vital when you are with the experts in the industry. Eyes should be sharp and analytical. To many people horses seems to look the same, striding looks the same and everything else look the same. There’s a lot to learn.
