One of the most interesting race for Singapore fans to witness the sprinting champion of Kranji Racecourse. This will be clash that everyone waiting for. The running of LION CITY CUP is traditionally a stamping their speed prowess and our flag bearer where usually winners will represent Singapore to run in International races.
Let’s wait for the big race! Race 10, Lion City Cup may or may not be a track record breaking race. The record been there since 2009.. SCARED KINGDOM (HK) when he beat legendary Rocket Man in th 1200m Short Course in a lightning speed of 1.07.80sec.
Race 1 Starting at 12.00 noon and the last race in Race 11 will be run at 17.30hrs. The Lion City Cup race will be in Race 10 (16.30hrs) and hope for a fine weather and a happy race day for all.

Our content is about horse racing in Singapore. Kranji race course is a nice and well design race track. It can be tricky for horses to win races here. It was specially designed tracks and made of grass a patented by the University of California and is reinforced with netlon fibres. Due to it sand based making the track to normally we have fast races and the going is mainly good. Horses needs to have strong legs and must be able to quicken at the final 200m to the winning post. The track is of most challenging as it i designed to have a slight inclined on the home straight. (about 350 meters approaching the winning post) Making strong jockeys as a necessity in winning at this wonderful track.
The track was opened in year 2000. This track have been where world champion jockeys like Joa Moreira, starts his international penetration in to the world stage. This not only a place that we saw champion jockeys as it is also a place for trainers to producing super horses and make Singapore proud. We saw outstanding performance, and produced many Million Dollars stakes winners and champions. One of our remarkable racehorse a superstar of Singapore horse, Rocket Man who made more than SGD7million in his racing career and was trained by Trainer Patrick Shaw.
Making money was everyone’s dream in horse racing ownership. Many did not achieve their goals and sometimes will totally stay away from horse racing involvement. There many reasons horses cannot performed here. One of the common reasons is injury they got during racing or training. It’s can normally caused by accidents or other natural things. Performance horses are sensitive as every part of their body needs to be in tip top condition, especially their legs.
